New York Trip, Libbys Dads Gig, This-N-That

Hi All !!!

It’s Saturday and ive finally finished wrapping all the presents I bought while I was in new york city this week. I had to lock myself up in the guest room this morning cuz I was wrapping all of libby’s and jimmy’s presents today. It took me 7 trips to the xmas tree to bring them all down. Jimmy was freakin out…lol. Course he had to look for all the presents with his name on them.

Our livin room is pretty much unusable now. Normally we have the two couches on either side of the fire place and the two recliners further back kinda between the couches. Then we have a sittin area with two leather wingbacks and a table near the front window and another sittin area on the other side near the kitchen wall. Well, now we have all four wingbacks up against the kitchen wall and one of the couches squished up to them then the other couch facin out squished up to the first couch. The recliners are on either side of the only usable couch now. The rest of the room is taken up with the xmas tree and all the presents. It’s a pretty big room too so that should show how many presents we got layin all over the place. The closest we can get to the tree is like 10 feet…lol. We may have gone a weeeeeee bit overboard this year. Ok, ok…”I” may have gone a wee bit overboard.

Well, I guess you all want to know how my trip to New York City went. Even if you don’t, I am still gonna tell you. I am chillin out all day til I got to get ready for another holiday party I am workin tonite so I mite as well spend some of the time writin in my blog.

As you know, if you read last weekends blog, Me, JP and Rich went to NYC this week. (JP is the head dancer of nite shift and Rich is the head bouncer of day shift and if you are new to my blog, I am the head dancer on day shift) Wow, that sure is a lot of head, huh???

We went to interview a bunch of girls for the open dancer positions for 2009. JP has 4 open positions and I have 3. Rich came with us as our chaperone/bodyguard. Rich drove us there in his suv. We got there just before noon on Monday. We stayed at the Benjamin Hotel which is right next to Park Avenue. The hotel was suppose to be really awesome. It wasn’t. Most of the staff was very rude like it was beneath them to have to talk to the guests. One bartender was pretty cool but that’s bout it. We had to wait like 15 mins for them to bring us a luggage cart and then we had to load it up ourselves and push it all the way up to our room. Rich was the only one who ate in their restaurant and he said the food was fine but the service and the whole layout was a disaster. We stayed in the One Bedroom Deluxe suite. The room was okay but the bathroom was a joke. The layout was impossible to deal with in the morning. They actually had a mirror set on the side so you could really only use half the mirror cuz the counter was in the way. The Wyndham and the Palace in Harrisburg are both like a 1000 times better and wayyyyyyy cheaper. Our room cost us like $749 a nite.

Everythin else bout the trip was awesome. Like I said the purpose of the trip was to shop….oops, I mean to interview new dancers…lol. We did all the interviewin in the hotel room. The very first interview was with Tari (I mentioned her in last weekends postin). She is from India and has lived in NYC for the past 3 years. OMG, she was beautiful enuff in the DVD bio she sent us but that was nothing to what she looked like in person. Even Rich was a little speechless when he saw her. (If you knew Rich, that’s sayin a lot…lol.) She is 5’ 8” tall with beautiful shoulder length black hair with dark brown highlights. Her skin tone is just a shade lighter then mine and she has the most beautiful dark brown eyes. Her bod is amazing and she has long, long legs like libby.

JP and I had already decided that as long as Tari’s interview went well we were gonna hire her right away instead of makin her go through a second interview at the club in January. If there was anything I was concerned about before the interview it would prolly have been her Indian accent. No offense to any peeps from India who read my blog but I am not really a big fan of the Indian accent. In her DVD bio her accent seemed kinda thick but in person it wasn’t at all. It was no problem understandin her and she has a very sexy voice.

So her interview was for 2:00 pm on Monday. She showed up right on time and she was a little nervous but nothing too bad. She brought her portfolio with her. Lot of the pics were of her hands cuz she did a lot of hand modelin for magazines in India. When we got to the nude pics of Tari, Rich almost knocked JP over tryin to get a look. We spent about an hour with her talking bout herself and her experience. Rich fell in love with her lips cuz he kept starin at them while she talked. After we were done talking me and JP went into the bedroom. We both agreed we wanted to hire her. Since she was gonna be hired for nite shift it really wasn’t up to me but we both agreed we would do all the hirin together since all the dancers work both shifts from time to time.

JP wanted to see how Tari handles rejection so when we went back out there she thanked Tari for comin and takin time out for us. She was makin it sound like we weren’t very interested. Rich was lookin at JP like she was insane. He wasn’t in in our little joke. Tari handled it really well. She did look a little sad but she stayed completely professional. When JP reached across the table to shake her hand she goes…oh yeah, one last question. Then she paused for a couple seconds then said…when can you start? At first you could tell it didn’t register to Tari what JP meant. Then JP goes….your hired. Tari looked like she was in shock then she screamed and me and JP screamed and even rich yelled…YEAHHHHHH. She started cryin then of course me and JP started cryin. She hugged me then JP then even gave rich a hug. He held on a little longer then he should have…lol.

JP pulled the manila envelope out of her bag with Tari’s name on it. She told Tari that we agreed to hire her weeks ago and this was just the final test. We went over all the paperwork in the envelope with her really quick then JP asked her if she didn’t have plans would she like to go out with us that nite. She got soooo excited bout that. So did rich…lol.

We had another interview at 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm. We also did tons of interviews on tues and weds. I wont bore you with all the deets but most of them went really well. Couple girls were way nervous and it showed. Rich’s job was to order coffee service and a small fruit tray before each interview. The peeps down in the restaurant must of thought we were nuts orderin all that stuff over and over again.

Monday nite we went to Scores, East and West, and Laces. I had heard so much bout how great Scores was. We were all sooooooo disappointed. They were sooooo tacky and the layout was so confusin. JP and me were talking how spoiled we were cuz Reegan’s made all those places look like dives. Even Rich didn’t care much for most of the girls at the two Scores. The girls at Laces were way prettier and way younger. Tari said that mostly tourists go to the Scores and native New Yorkers go to the smaller strip clubs. We went to a couple of them Tuesday nite and they were nicer but def small…lol.

I was more excited bout just seein everythin in New York then goin to clubs. Even though we ended up doin 12 interviews we still got time to go sight seein and tons of shoppin. We went to Saks, and Barneys, and Macy’s and Bloomindales and Bergdorfs. We hit a bunch of boutiques on Madison ave. We were jokin with rich by callin him Pretty Man cuz he was like that scene from Pretty Woman where Julia Roberts is walkin down the street holdin a ton of bags. Well that was Rich…lol. I ended up havin to feed him a hot dog that he wanted from one of the street carts. He had it loaded with sauerkraut and it was soooo gross.

We tried to go to the top of the Empire State Buildin on weds but they said the top was closed cuz of high winds. We got to the top on Thursday though. OMG that was soooooo scary. I stayed against the wall most of the time. We also went in to central park. I didn’t know they had a zoo in the park. Rich liked the polar bears but they kinda just laid there and didn’t do anything.

We saw ground zero where the world trade center buildins were and we saw the statue of liberty across the water.

Wednesday nite we went to a steakhouse called Peter Lugers. Rich had gotten Gerald to get us reservations there as soon as he found out he was comin with us to NYC. Lugers is suppose to be like one of the best steakhouses in the world. Rich was all excited bout goin there. It turned out to be a major bust for him. He said he has gotten so use to the kobe steaks they serve at the club that everythin else isn’t any good. He said the food was good but not great. JP and I just got shrimp cocktail with salads. The shrimp was itty bitty but it was good. Rich got prime rib and some other kind of steak. (If your new to my blog, Rich is 6’ 2” and is all muscles. A lot of muscles. He’s also a hottie…lol.)

The trip was really great and the interviews went really great too but all 3 of us were kinda happy on Thursday when it was time to go home. I talked to libby and jimmy atleast twice a day while I was there but I still missed them sooooooo much. We got to my house about 6:30 pm and as soon as I walked in the door libby almost knocked me over. She came runnin up to me and gave me a huge hug and lots and lots of kissy face. Ive only been at the club for like 2 hrs all week. That was Friday after libs dads office party. I went to the club to pick up my tip check and to put up the January stage schedule. I am sittin at the kitchen counter while I am writin this and I just lit some incense oil I bought in NYC. Its called Summer Ecstasy. It smells soooooo good. I soooooo cant wait til xmas and he gets to open up his presents. The best part of xmas for me is watchin lib and him open their presents. Lib and I both know we go way overboard on jimmy but he is so worth it. He is such a great kid and deserves it. So far this year he is getting perfect grades again like usual and he breezed through all his exams, even the college course ones hes taking. All his teachers say he is a joy in class and he is so helpful to the other students. He is really popular in school and has tons of friends and girls are always callin him on his cell.

He even has told me and lib that he wants to help as much as possible with xmas dinner this year. We are havin it here and libs family is comin and a couple of our neighbors and few of the dancers and bouncers from work. Lib absolutely loves cookin for a big crowd so she will be in heaven xmas day. Brandy is comin so he is VERY excited bout that. JP and brandy are the only two girls that he gets all flustered whenever they are around.
