4th of July Club Picnic

Wow, two posts in one weekend. I was really hoping to lay out on the patio today but of course they are saying it will be partly cloudy alllllllll day. Libby is at her parents house like she does every Sunday and jimmy plans on not doing anything all day. Pretty much only thing I will do today is make some Pasta Chili Cha Cha. My bro loves chili with fish and since he brought home so much of it from his vacation I thought I would try something new. The recipe sounds good, lots of veggies and spices and pasta mixed with chili.

 

Yesterday was our clubs annual 4th of July picnic at the owners house (Gerald). I swear every year it gets bigger and better. Like always they had a bunch of party tents set up in case it rains or for anyone who wanted to get out of the sun. The weather turned out perfect for a picnic though, not too hot and only a few clouds now and again.

 

This year the food tent was done up completely different. Usually they have all the food in tables in the shape of a giant U. This time they had them in rows and each row was a different theme. All the salad stuff was in one row, meat stuff in another, veggies another, and on and on. The most popular row was the Deep Fried Lovers row. The had 3 huge deep fryers set up and tons and tons of bins filled with all kinds of different foods. The way it worked was you grabbed a plastic container and put the food you wanted deep fried and you took it to one of the guys manning the fryers. They had tons of weird stuff to fry like candy bars and Twinkies and pizza slices and macaroni and cheese balls and shrimp and tons of meat stuff.

 

I pigged out on the sushi and crab legs, not deep fried though . For dessert lib and i split a Death by Chocolate. Jimmy buds, Chris and Dave came with us and it was the first time either of them had truffles. They both loved them.

 

Those two were a riot when we first got there. Gerald lives in a huge mansion and has a gimungous back yard. First they were floored by his pool which is three levels with rock slides and water falls. Then they were speechless when they saw all the women running around in bikinis. Had to be close to 300 peeps there and all the women employees had to wear bikinis when they weren't eating (one of many of the silly rules Gerald likes to make). With all the dancers, servers, waitresses and other female employees there was easily over 130 women wearing bikinis.

 

They also had tons of games and contests and other stuff set up. They had these 3 giant water slides set up in back down the little hill. They said they were 160 feet long. What was fun about them was every 20 feet or so they had little bumps that would make you fly in the air. The hard part of it was at the end you flew into a huge plastic sheet to stop you. Trying to get on your feet and walk was near impossible. I just gave up and crawled off like most peeps.

 

They had a bunch of contests and me and lib won the women's egg throwing contest. I thought for sure we would suck at it because the very first throw i dropped the egg and we were only like 5 feet apart. Thanks to my big boobs though I didn't break the egg. Lib won the hole in one contest. You had to hit a golf ball 20 feet onto a green and make it in the hole. She got it on her third try.

 

Jimmy Chris and Dave spent most of the time with the bouncers playing volleyball and touch football. I was scared to death when I found out they were gonna play football with the bouncers but i watched for a few minutes and they made sure not to be too rough. The fireworks started at 9:45 pm. This years show was bigger then ever. The company he hires to do it did an awesome job. Some of them were kinda loud which i don't really like but it was still a great show.
